About the Creator
I am a first-generation college student, trilingual and bicultural educator, researcher, and an educator committed to bilingual, language equity, and culturally and linguistically responsive teaching. My work is shaped by my experiences as a multilingual learner and educator, as well as by my work with teacher candidates and multilingual communities.
My research focuses on translanguaging, language identity, and equity in educator preparation, with a particular emphasis on honoring and elevating multilingualism to disrupt linguicism and affirm language as an asset.
Educación con Amor reflects on my commitment to creating learning spaces that honor students’ languages, cultures, and ways of knowing—while holding high expectations for growth, literacy, and academic rigor. This space bridges research, practice, and advocacy, and is rooted in the belief that teaching with care and intention is essential to educational justice.
"Because love is an act of courage, not of fear, love is a commitment to others."
